Source: http://www.yonglingcn.com   Time: 2015-09-06 Hits:0

Usually, it uses the gearshift fork to make the sleeve connected to the first gear on output shaft, at this time, the first gear and output shaft have the synchronous operation under the action of the sleeve, completing the process that power from the input shaft passes through the intermediate shaft and transports to the output shaft finally transmits to the wheel. Under normal circumstances, when the shift lever into gear, the driver needs to depress the clutch pedal firstly, after the gear gets ready then raise the clutch pedal, in addition, when starting or stopping cars, the engine should be interrupted the power transmission with the gearbox through the operation of the clutch.

In order to prevent misuse of the driver at the time of the shift, the shifting mechanism of many manual gearbox certainly restrict the operation of reverse gear, so to make the action of shifting reverse gear is different from the usual. Due to the different lock structure, the operation of shifting reverse gear is different as well. For example, some cars will need to press down the shift rod in order to successfully shift into reverse gear, while this design is necessary.
