General manual gearbox structure

General manual gearbox is to achieve the gear shifting through shifting the shift lever to select the corresponding gearbox shift fork, and toggling the gearbox shift fork to combine with the corresponding gear synchronizer. Therefore, the common manual gearbox mainly includes shift lever, shift fork, synchronizer and gear set.

The structure of the sequential gearbox

The basic structure of the sequential gearbox is the same as the manual gearbox, the difference is the shift parts that enable sequential gearboxes completing the gear shifting between push-pulls.

Their internal gear sets are arranged in the same way. The difference is that sequential gearbox adopts spur type gear with a more direct power transmission and less power loss, compared to the manual gearbox installing with helical gear, its running shock and noise are greater. Sequential gearboxes are suitable for racing cars, because racing cars only pursue running efficiency and speed rather than comfort.
