There are three main types of gears for shift forks, namely cast steel, forged steel and die-cast aluminum alloy.

As the weight of the product becomes more and more important, under the conditions of structure and strength, the gear shifting fork should be preferentially selected as the die-cast aluminum alloy material. However, aluminum alloy forks must meet strength and stiffness requirements, and sometimes require increased volume. At present, the design of the internal space of the transmission at home and abroad is more and more compact. In order to avoid space interference and meet the design requirements, the steel fork has become the best choice for people.

The role of the shift fork:

The shift fork of the transmission is also called the shift fork. The function is to move the synchronizer ring to realize the combination and separation of the forward gears. The reverse gear has no synchronizer, and the fork directly shifts the reverse gear to achieve the switching reverse gear.

As an important part of the car's gearbox, the fork is connected to the shifting handle, located at the lower end of the handle, and the intermediate shifting wheel is toggled to change the input/output speed ratio. The shifting fork is used for shifting. It is mainly used in the operating mechanism to disengage two snap-in gears and then shift one of the gears that can slide on the shaft to another gear to obtain another speed. That is, the position of the internal gear of the transmission is changed to achieve shifting.
