The electric - hydraulic actuator


Currently, most gearboxes in AMT have adopted the electric - hydraulic actuator to control the clutch and shift fork. AMT transmission mechanism which mounted above the gearbox is the control modules of AMT gearbox, and in the deployment of the gearbox control unit, the control module can not only control the clutch but also choose the needed gear. In the whole process of driving, the driver to control the speed through stepping the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal, of course, you still need to toggle the shift lever to select neutral, forward gear or reverse gear.

In addition to the electric - hydraulic actuator, AMT gearbox actuator can also be driven by an electric way. LUK of Schaeffler Group and GETRAG Group begin to produce and equipped with AMT gearbox of electric actuator in the country. They call this as ASG (automatic mechanical transmission).

Due to the lack of a hydraulic unit on the actuator, the structure is more simple, and also a corresponding reduction in the volume and quality. However, because of the less models of gearbox fit for this structure, there is no largely alternative to the electric-hydraulic actuator.
