Retarder and automotive differential housings are a typical box-type parts, mainly processing plane and the hole system. In the machining process, to ensure the hole size accuracy and hole position accuracy, dealing with the contacts between the hole and the plane. It should follow the principle of “plane first, hole later”, that is, first processing the base plane on the housing, and then machining the other planes according to the base plane, and finally dealing with hole system. Because of the large area of the plane, with its positioning to ensure reliable positioning, firmly clamping, and thus easy to ensure the accuracy of the hole processing. The next step is to cut the uneven parts on the casting surface, in order to improve the processing accuracy for the holes, to facilitate the tool setting and adjusting, that is conducive to tools protection. Processing technology should also follow the principle of separation of rough processing and finishing processes.
