The role of shift block chamfer:

When the shift paddle moves from the neutral position into the select groove of the 2nd shift block or back to the neutral position, the chamfer can help push the shift block back to the correct position if the edge of the shifting pin extends beyond the groove range, and the gear position can be smoothly hung up. , otherwise, there will be stalls in the selection. When the chamfering angle is greater, the smaller the jamming force is, the larger the chamfering value is, and the larger the range of interference is allowed to be.

When shifting, the chamfering effect is similar, which can prevent the two dials and the side dial from interfering with each other during shifting, and at the same time, reduce the force when interference occurs.

For the shift feel, the larger the chamfer, the better the feel when shifting, but due to other reasons, if the value of the chamfer is too large, other problems will arise.
