The differential housing is an important part of the automobile gearbox. Today we will talk about its processing sequence.
Generally speaking, the order of processing is:
(1) Rough machining of inner hole and hole chamfer (for positioning)
(2) Rough machining of the outer circle
(3) Finished outer circle
(4) Finish machining inner cavity
(5) Machining a slotted shaft hole
(6) Machining the mounting hole of the gear plate
For (3) the finishing of the outer circle and related dimensions requires one clamping to be completed, so that the coaxiality requirement of 0.02 can be guaranteed.
For (4) finishing the spherical surface of the inner cavity and the gear mounting hole, it is required to complete the clamping in one time. This is also to ensure the requirement of coaxiality of 0.02.
Although the processing process of the automobile gearbox differential housing is relatively simple, because it has very strict requirements on the coaxiality and the position of the slotted shaft hole, it is not so necessary to process qualified parts. Simplicity, especially the arrangement of the process plan and tooling design is very important.
